Allen Maxwell
Prior to becoming a licensed private investigator in 2008 and joining Cape Fear Investigative Services, Allen Maxwell was a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for over 20 years until his retirement in 2005. Additionally, Maxwell is a licensed attorney-at-law in North Carolina, as well as a licensed private pilot.
While in the FBI, Maxwell was assigned to the Charlotte, Las Vegas, New York, Washington, DC, and Kansas City field offices. Maxwell conducted criminal investigations in the areas of organized crime, white collar crime and international terrorism. Maxwell was also the team leader of a Special Operations Group which specialized in covert surveillance activities. Maxwell received numerous commendations and awards during his FBI career.
Maxwell is a native of North Carolina and he relocated to the Wilmington area following his retirement from the FBI. Maxwell is married to a former FBI special agent, Ann Maxwell, and he is the father of three teenage daughters.
